Description: red cranberry colored glass top with clear cut glass lower half; clear glass curved handle on one side; gold painted rim; faded stamp on side: "Compliments of E. J. Pream, Alma City, Minn."; cut glass starburst design on bottom.
Note with creamer: "Donated by Leona Hinze in memory of her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. John Mann, who lived in Alma City in the house on Residence Street. Augusta Mann was a midwife who delivered many babies in that area. They farmed southwest..." The unincorporated community is located along Waseca County Road 9 (320th Avenue) near County Road 54. Alma City is located within Alton Township and Freedom Township. Nearby places include Janesville, Pemberton, and Waldorf. The Le Sueur River flows nearby. Alma City was platted in 1865, and named for Alma Hills, the daughter of an early settler. A post office was established at Alma City in 1870, and remained in operation until 1957.
