Women's Navy Nurse Corps Dress Blues. Material: textile, metal. (a) Jacket. Size: 16" shoulder to shoulder x 26" L. Description: navy blue wool double-breasted jacket lined with black taffeta; one inside vest pocket; label inside right, printed in white with the Navy eagle insignia and the information, "This label identified a garment made & sold under the authority of the U.S. Navy, Regulation U. S. Navy Nurse's Uniform; label sewn inside back neckline identifies the jacket as a product of Livingston Bros., San Francisco; double vertical line of brass buttons with navy eagle insignia attached on each side of jacket front with three-button closure; black plastic inside buttons anchor outside brass buttons; collar with wide notched lapels; long sleeves with two rows of gold stripes designating rank encircle each wrist, a Navy Nurse Corps. eagle patch attached above the stripes on each arm. (b) Uniform Skirt. Size: 24" W. skirt hem x 27" L. Description: black wool unlined six-gore skirt with metal side zipper and narrow waistband.
