Waseca High School Band Uniform. Material: textile, metal, leather, plastic, feather. (c) Shako. Description: black leather and blue twill covered plastic base forming a tall, cylindrical cap; black plastic visor and chin strap; two bands of white fabric piping encircle the hat and separate the blue twill area from black leather top and lower visor area; gold buttons on side of hat anchor the chin strap ends and the gold chain that extends across the visor; silver eagle with crossed rifle emblem on the front. (d) Plume. Description: black feather cylindrical shako ornament set in a gold metal base with a spring attachment; detached plume encased in heavy cardboard cylinder for storage. (e),(f) Spats. Description: white faux leather instep and ankle cover with tan cloth lining; four white button snaps extend vertically down the side for closure; elastic straps on bottom to extend under boot; black leather adjustable lining with black cord; washing instructions and company name written inside visor, Ostwald.
Waseca High School Band Uniform worn by George Bagan. George played trumpet, front line and was a drum major, he graduated from Waseca High School in 2002. Claudette took care of washing band uniform spats and gloves and making sure the kids were dressed to the nines for their performances.
