Chicago Northwestern Train Caboose Model. Material: wood, rubber, metal. Size: 6" x 20" x 11" H. Description: red painted wooden train caboose car with four rubber casters for wheels, cupola projection on the roof to let crew inspect the train from this perch; metal connector hook on both ends, openings cut into each side and ends for windows and doors, miniature benches and table secured inside box car; lettered in yellow/gold on two sides, Chicago + Northwestern, CNW, 12006.
Donor's grandfather, Lowell Lionel Deputy worked for the Chicago Northwestern Railway as a brakeman and later as a conductor. He and his wife, Magdalena lived at 513 S. W. 8th Ave. in Waseca. Lowell created this model for his grandson. Mr. Deputy died in 1976.
