Donor is the daughter of Howard H. Krassin, age 90, of Waseca died on Tuesday, October 18, 2011, at Lake Shore Inn in Waseca. Born on May 13, 1921, in Waseca County, Minnesota, he was the son of Henry and Frieda (Joecks) Krassin. He attended rural Waseca County School District #44. Following his schooling, he farmed with his father in Waseca County until getting married. Howard married Ruth Hartig on July 12, 1953 at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Mankato. Howard then worked for Culligan in Waseca until retiring in 1986. He enjoyed woodworking, spending time with his grandchildren, and gardening. He was an active member of St. John Lutheran Church in Waseca, where he served on the church council, taught Sunday School and ushered. He is survived by two daughters, Carol (Dean) Nissen of Hutchinson and Mary (Michael) Conway of Waseca; and eight grandchildren, Andrew (Amber) Nissen, Joshua (Allie) Nissen, Lucas Nissen, David Nissen, Mark Nissen, Meghan Conway and fiancée, Todd Selvik, Marcus Conway and Martha Conway. He was preceded in death by his parents and wife. Visitation will be held at Kinder-Dennis Home for Funerals in Waseca on Saturday, October 22, 2011 from 3-6 p.m. and continue on Sunday, one hour before services at the church. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, October 23, 2011, at 2 p.m. at St. John Lutheran Church in Waseca, with Rev. Stephen Bohling officiating. Burial will follow at Woodville Cemetery in Waseca.
