Description: tinted sepia portrait of a woman in midlife years, dark center-parted hair pulled to the back, wearing a dark dress trimmed with a vertical row of three buttons, a narrow white standup collar and a brooch at the neckline; identified as Mrs. Gottlieb Prechel, Johanna Wilhelmine Krassin, born June 4, 1827 in Germany and died December 11, 1894 in Waseca County.

Note on back of picture: "From Lorene Grunwald Estate Sale, June 1, 1986. Leonard m. Nora Jobe; Leonard Schoenfeld's great-grandmother Proechel. [?] Purchased by donor. Lorene Grunwald was a sister to Lillian Frieda Grunwald (Mrs. August Schoenfeld).
