In the year 1917, a crowd of about 3000 people from Southern Minnesota celebrated a Missouri Synod Lutheran Church Quadri Centennial at the Waseca Fairgrounds. Local pastors who attended were Rev. Herman Soeldner of Waseca, Rev. William Stellwagen of Iosco, Rev. O. S. Krause of Janesville and Rev. William Poehler of Morristown.
