1980
This is a loaned image scanned from the donor's original photo. This house was the original Freedom Lutheran Church parsonage built in 1907. In 1980, Curt and Anita Tesch purchased the house. Doug Bruender, an employee of Bruce Spencer Movers, from Wells, Minnesota moved it to a piece of land east of the Tesch home place where Harold and Marie Tesch lived. It later became the home of the mover, Doug Bruender and his wife Audrey Tesch Bruender.
Curt and Anita Tesch landscaped the area around the house and Audrey and husband Doug Bruender moved into the house in 1984. In 1999, The Bruenders removed the old wooden siding and replaced it with vinyl siding. The inside was completely remodeled but the original woodwork was kept. Over the years, the Bruenders have added a basement, a sewer system, a well, garage, insulation and updated the heating and electrical systems for an investment of about $35,000.
