King Melody Inn Model. Material: wood, metal. Size"25 1/2" x 28 1/2" x 17" H. Description: white one-story building, lap siding with green texturized roof; one door and two window openings in front, two window openings in each of two sides, three window openings in back wall; roof is hinged and opens to display interior rooms; building represents the King Melody Inn, a restaurant and night club located on the north side of Clear Lake in the 1950s through 1985 when it burned. Margaret and M. Carson were the owners of the King Melody in the 1950s and 1960s. Mr. Carson built this model replica of the King Melody as a playhouse for his daughter Jean Carson and subsequent Carson daughters and granddaughters.
