Confirmation Dress of Thelma Beelow. Material: textile, metal. Description: 13" shoulder to shoulder x 33" L. Description: white taffeta day dress, short puffed sleeves, bodice and skirt gathered to wide waist band that extends into two long ties from the side seams that can be pulled to the back and tied into a bow; neckline is edged with half inch satin ruffle; white lace panel is inserted into front neckline; two small satin bows are attached to the corners of the neckline below insert; back neckline placket closure with two silver snaps.
Thelma Beelow wore this dress at age 13 when she was confirmed at the First Lutheran Church of Waldorf, May 24, 1941 by Rev. Mueller. Confirmation class members were: Thelma Beelow, Betty Kroenke, Gladys Braun, Donald Schroeder, Willard Bluhm and Marvin Skinner. Thelma Beelow was born on February 24, 1928.
