Description: white paper folder with front page information, "Dedication of the New Janesville High School Auditorium, November 19, 1937; inside information states that the auditorium was made possible through the efforts of the taxpayers, Board of Education and the Federal Government, Federal Emergency Administration of Public Works; the evening program featured music by the Janesville H. S. band, mixed chorus and Girls' Chorus under the directorship of Arthur Strobel, addresses by State Department of Education I. O. Friswold and P. W. A. Representative W. S. Cockroft; the invocation and benediction was given by Rev. Gebhard; members of he School Board listed are President Mrs. R. P. Nolan, Dr. L. A. Kahnke, Emil Meyer, F. D. Morrill and E. G. Zimmerman; contractor credits listed are Architect Ernest Schmidt, General Contractor Carlstrom Construction Co., Heating and Plumbing Contractor Scheid Co., Electrical Contractor Draper Electric, Superintendent of Construction Walter Gardner and Legal Adviser Harvey Gardner.
Donor is the daughter of Harvey Gardner. Attorney Harvey Gardner practiced law in Janesville, Minnesota from the time he graduated from law school in 1932 until his death in 1972.
