Wilton Church Model. Material: wood, textile, metal, glass. Size: 24" x 32" x 31" H. Description: plywood model built to scale replicating the historical Trinity Lutheran Church built in Wilton Township; featured are the stained glass windows, bell tower, front steps and buttresses; the roof is hinged on one side to open and reveal the church interior that features the balcony, pews, pulpit, font, altar and carpeting; a string of electric light bulbs in hung inside from the ceiling.
This model of the Wilton Trinity Lutheran Church before renovations was built by Roy Yess in the 1970s for his sister Hazel Yess Krueger. It was passed down to Hazel's daughter Darlene Krueger Dinse and then next to the donor Robin Dinse Whitney. At the time of the donation, Robin's husband Bryan Whitney repaired all of the lost and broken pieces.
