Dwain Aamot was born in Fairfax, MN in 1915 and died in 2000. He was a Waseca High School teacher, basketball coach and athletic director. When he retired in 1980, he and his wife, Barbara concentrated on square dance calling, dance bookings and advertising. Whitey was the first caller to enter the Square Dance Callers Hall of Fame.
