George's Bar Token. Janesville, MN. Material: metal. Size: 7/8" diameter. Description: gold metal disk; star border; relief print on one side: "Enjoy Yourself at George's Bar, On & Off Sale, Schaaf-Mpls., Janesville, Minn."; print on reverse side: "Good For One Drink", "Schaff-Mpls" printed between one and drink.
All artifacts were found in the home of John Schmidt of Janesville, MN. John is a great uncle to the donor. Emil Felske was a family friend. John's father was George Schmidt. George was part of the Janesville Fire Department and owned a clothing store with Werdin. George also sold insurance. Janesville business: George's Bar. (There is an article in the Janesville Argus, 10 November 1938 regarding George Levery and a Liquor Sales Levey.)
