E.G. Slattery Token. Confectionery and Restaurant, Janesville, MN. Material: metal. Size: 7/8" diameter. Description: gold metal disk; beaded border; relief print on one side: "E.G. Slattery, Janesville, Minn."; print on reverse side: "Good For 5 cents In Trade."
All artifacts were found in the home of John Schmidt of Janesville, MN. John is a great uncle to the donor. Emil Felske was a family friend. John's father was George Schmidt. George was part of the Janesville Fire Department and owned a clothing store with Werdin. George also sold insurance. Janesville business: E.G. Slattery, Confectionery and Restaurant. Note with coin states that Edward G. Slattery operated a Confectionery and Restaurant from 1909 until 1912.
