A.J. Muller Token. General Store, Janesville, MN. Material: metal. Size: 1 1/4" diameter. Description: silver metal disk; beaded border; relief print on one side: "A.J. Muller, Dealer in General Merchandise"; print on reverse side: "Good For 50 cents In Merchandise."
All artifacts were found in the home of John Schmidt of Janesville, MN. John is a great uncle to the donor. Emil Felske was a family friend. John's father was George Schmidt. George was part of the Janesville Fire Department and owned a clothing store with Werdin. George also sold insurance. Janesville business: A.J. Muller's General Store. Note with coin states that A.J. Muller General Store was in operation from 1918 until 1927.
