C.M. Bartels Token. C.M. Bartels, Billiards, Janesville, MN. Material: metal. Size: 1" diameter. Description: gold metal disk; octagonal shape; relief print on one side: "C.M. Bartels, Billiards"; print on reverse side: "Good For 5 cent C.M. Bartels, In Trade."

All artifacts were found in the home of John Schmidt of Janesville, MN. John is a great uncle to the donor. Emil Felske was a family friend. John's father was George Schmidt. George was part of the Janesville Fire Department and owned a clothing store with Werdin. George also sold insurance. Janesville business: C.M. Bartels, Billiards. Note with coin states that Mrs. C.M. Bartels Pool was in business circa 1913 and that the M. Bartels Restaurant was in business in 1914.
