Emil Felske Notebook. Material: paper. Size: 7 3/4" x 10". Description: black notebook; dated 1916-1922; notebook filled with notes: State of Minnesota, County of Blue Earth land sold to Emil Felske from Pietch family; Farming related notes for 1916; newspaper clipping from 1916 detailing a close call for Emil when lightning struck and killed his team of horses and knocked him unconscious; 1917-1922 notes regarding purchases for the farm; farming activities such as plowing the garden and notes regarding the weather; petition for a State Road 1921; cow breeding table.

All artifacts were found in the home of John Schmidt of Janesville, MN. John is a great uncle to the donor. Emil Felske was a family friend. John's father was George Schmidt. George was part of the Janesville Fire Department and owned a clothing store with Werdin. George also sold insurance.
