Description: white paper; blue background and border certificate; black print: "Organized 1938, Janesville Fire Department Relief Association Incorporated, This is to certify that George Schmidt of the Village of Janesville, Minnesota, has been a member of the Janesville Fire Department Relief Association for the time required by the by-laws of said association and is therefore entitled to all the benefits provided for in said by-laws. In Testimony whereof, the President and Secrectary have hereunto signed their names this 5th day of February, A.D. 1964." Signed by Lee Tetzloff, Secretary and Alfred Rux, President.

All artifacts were found in the home of John Schmidt of Janesville, MN. John is a great uncle to the donor. Emil Felske was a family friend. John's father was George Schmidt. George was part of the Janesville Fire Department and owned a clothing store with Werdin. George also sold insurance.
