Description: brown cardboard cover; white paper certificate held inside with yellow braided string; black print: "Diploma, This Diploma is Awarded by the Facility of Trinity Lutheran School, Janesville, Minnesota, to John Schmidt, who has completed the course of studies prescribed for the nine school grades given this second day of June 1946. All artifacts were found in the home of John Schmidt of Janesville, MN. John is a great uncle to the donor. Emil Felske was a family friend. John's father was George Schmidt. George was part of the Janesville Fire Department and owned a clothing store with Werdin. George also sold insurance.
