John Schmidt Attendance Certificate 1942. Material: paper. Size: 10" x 12 1/2". Description: brown paper cover, print on front: "Award of Honor"; white paper certificate held inside with white braided string; "Attendance Certificate, This is to Certify that John Schmidt a pupil of District No. 76A, Waseca County Public Schools, has merited this award for Regular and Punctual School Attendance having been neither absent nor tardy during the past school year. Awarded at Waseca, Minnesota this 17th day of June 1942, signed by H.W. Otte Teacher."

All artifacts were found in the home of John Schmidt of Janesville, MN. John is a great uncle to the donor. Emil Felske was a family friend. John's father was George Schmidt. George was part of the Janesville Fire Department and owned a clothing store with Werdin. George also sold insurance.
