Schmidt Insurance Blotter Card. Material: paper. Size: 3 3/4" x 7 3/4". Description: white paper black, brown and white image of a firefighter with a hose; title in black print: "Where There's Smoke"; red print at bottom: "George Schmidt, Janesville, Minn., representing Royal Insurance Company, Limited"; "Be Sure, Insure."

All artifacts were found in the home of John Schmidt of Janesville, MN. John is a great uncle to the donor. Emil Felske was a family friend. John's father was George Schmidt. George was part of the Janesville Fire Department and owned a clothing store with Werdin. George also sold insurance.
