Irene Johnson, daughter of Andrew and Inger Hartz Johnson was born in New Richland, Minnesota, 1903. She graduated from New Richland High School in 1921 and the Fairview Hospital School of Nursing in 1925. She married Titus Kreuzer of New Richland and raised her family in Owatonna and Marshall. Her siblings included Olga Comas Best Hofdahl, Kaia Haatvedt, Emily Haug, Agnes Halvorson, Johnnie Johnson, Helen Haug and Chester Johnson.
