Faith Lutheran Church of Janesville/Former Methodist Church. Material: paper. Size: 3 1/2" x 5 1/2". Description: color photo showing a yellow brick building trimmed in brown in Janesville; it has a brown shingled roof and steeple, front and side stained glass windows and located on the corner of North Mott Street and 2nd Street; a house (210 Mott Street) located behind the church is owned by Patrick and Cees Fury, and was the former Methodist parsonage.
This church was originally built by the Methodist Church congregation of Janesville in 1878 using brick from the Tuttle Brick Yard in Janesville, owned by E. R. Tuttle. The new Faith Lutheran congregation purchased the building from the Methodists in 1965 and maintained it through 2005.
