Janesville Bicentennial Celebration in the Park. Material: paper. Size: 3 1/2" x 3 1/2". Description: color photo of an open vault containing memorabilia donated by Janesville citizens that were currently meaningful; the vault was sealed and buried on the north side of the Bicentennial monument erected in the center of Memorial Park, Janesville, located along 1st Street and Mott Streets; some items appear to be books, a straw hat and a striped men's tie; the plaque on the monument indicates that the vault will be reopened in July of 2176.
The Janesville Bicentennial Celebration was an event held in 1976 recognizing the 200th anniversary of the United States of America.
