Notes written by M. Miller of Janesville: Herman Arnold built this house between 1911 and 1913 at 504 N. Main St., Janesville, Minnesota. He lived there while he finished the house and later sold it to James and Celia Foley McBride in ca 1919. Their daughter, Cecelia returned to this house later in her life to take care of her parents until they died in the 1950s. She remained there until she moved to the Janesville Nursing Home in about 2003. The next owners were the Jason and Taya Gay (Gray) family. This photo was found in the collection of the McBride Family in Janesville, Minnesota.
