Hertwig low brow china doll head. Material: porcelain. Size: 2 1/4" W. x 4" H. Description: white porcelain doll head; hand painted features: dark black curly hair, dark brown eyebrows, blue eyes, dark pink rosy cheeks, pink lips; white bodice; two small circular holes on the front bodice and two small circular holes on shoulders; number 3 molded into center back. Crack in face, neck and bodice.

Porcelain doll heads and one arm belonged to Lillian Trahms of Janesville, MN. Antique china dolls were predominantly produced in Germany, approximately between 1840 and 1940.
