Tink Larson Field. Waseca's largest baseball field was built as a city project in 1939, as part of the 1930s Works Progress Administration. The baseball field was originally called Community Field. During the 1970s, the City of Waseca was considering tearing the structure down. Tink Larson urged the city to instead renovate the ball field. In 1994, Community Field was renamed Tink Larson Field. Larson was head coach at the high school for 35 years and had a 420-280 won-loss record, leading the team to the 1990 Class A state championship. He is a two-time state High School Baseball Coach of the Year and a member of the American Baseball Coaches Association Hall of Fame.
