Miniature Envelope. Material: paper. Size: 1 1/2" x 3". Description: white envelope addressed to Mr. and Mrs. O. H. Tollefson, Janesville, Minnesota; pink 2cent stamp with postmark stamp: "Minneapolis, Minn. Dec 11, 1910 5:30 p.m."; embossed manufacturer's name on reverse: "Crane's".
Found in the collection of Oscar and Emma Tollefson who built and lived in a residence at 207 East 1st St., Janesville, Minnesota. Crane's Stationery is located in Massachusetts and in addition to fine stationery, Crane & Company has manufactured currency and security papers for more than two centuries. They have continually supplied the United States Treasury with its currency paper since 1879. United States Currency utilizes the most durable banknote paper in the world, achieving the longest life span of any paper currency.
