The Ward House Hanging Ornament. Material: ceramic. Size: 3 1/2" diameter. Description: white ceramic disk with painted gilded edge; black and white ink drawing of the northeast view of a Neo Classical styled house; caption on front: "The Ward House"; short history on reverse: "Built in 1896 in the Neo Classical Style by R. P. and Daisy Cole Ward. R. P. Ward was the grandson of Ira C. Trowbridge, the founder of Waseca. The architect was E. S. Stebbins, a family friend. The house was placed on the National Historic Register in 1984. It remained in the Ward family until 1991. It continues as a private residence."
