Squab Dinner Party. Material: paper. Size: 8" x 10". Description: black and white glossy photo of 20 men seated on benches at dinner tables, all turned toward the camera; five men wearing chef hats and aprons stand in the background; written across front of photo: "Squab Dinner-Waseca Minn. 9-16-46". Note from donor: "Photograph of lots of Dads at a Junior Chamber of Commerce squab (pigeon) dinner in Waseca in 1946. They went out to the local farm barns to catch the pigeons. The group also had a frog leg dinner in the spring. I only recognize one of the men, my dad, the 3rd from the left in the front row." Note from Sharlene Winegar: Archie Johnson first row second from left.
Note from donor: "Because of age restrictions for membership in the Jaycees (21-40, I think), the men in this photo would have been born between about 1906 and 1926."
