Photos found at an estate sale in Owatonna, MN. Orville Freeman was born 9 May 1918 and died 20 February 2003. Freeman was an American Democratic politician who served as the 29th Governor of Minnesota from 5 January 1955 to 2 January 1961. Freeman served in the United States Marines during the battle of the Bougainville Campaign of November 1943 and was shot and injured in the jaw and left arm.
