The Evangelical United Methodist Church of Waseca, Minnesota disbanded in 2013. The history of the church included many mergers of area churches over the years. Those churches that were built, closed and merged over the years include: Wilton 1866-1920; Waseca German Evanglical church building (Salem) 1875 to 1902 and the Second Salem church 1902 to 1959; Iosco Evangelical Ebenezer 1880-1928; Meriden Emanuel (Steele County) 1882-1917; in 1952 the United Brethren Church also merged with Waseca Salem; in 1960 a new Salem Evangelical United Brethren was built; in 1968 the United Methodists united with the Waseca Salem and changed their name to Evangelical United Methodist; in 2013 the Evangelical United Methodist congregation disbanded and the church building was vacated.
