Children of S. O. and Marie Hogaas Sunde: Olga Sunde, George Sunde, Oscar Sunde, Ella Sunde Evenson, Hannah Sunde Querna, Ida Sunde Johnson, Walter Sunde, Annie Sunde Munson, Alice Sunde Evenson, Justin Sunde and Sara Sunde Hagen. The family farmed in the New Richland area and were members of the LeSueur River Lutheran Church. When Sam and Marie took all their children to church, they often walked from their nearby homestead to the church; this procession was often referred to among the neighbors as "The Sunde Parade".
