Christian Paulson farmed in Steele County near the Otisco Township, Waseca County line; his daughters were Della (Mrs. Gordon Tollefson) and Elaine (Mrs. Wayne Haug), the donor's mother. Ruth Haug (Mrs. Russell Hanson) was a neighbor on a farm to the south of the Paulson farm and the daughter of Ralph and Helen Haug.
