Christian Helmer Paulson and his wife, Evangeline Johanna nee Johnson farmed in Lemond Township, Steele County bordering the Steele-Waseca County line by Otisco Township, Route No. 1 New Richland; Christian was born July 17, 1891 in Berlin Township, Steele County, the son of Jacob and Mathilda Olson Paulson; Christian and Evangeline were married at the Pontoppidan Lutheran Church in Lemond Township on March 4, 1914; the Paulsons attended church at the LeSueur River Lutheran Church in rural New Richland.
