Description: black and white photo copy of The Waseca Herald, Friday, November 16, 1962, front page; "Charter Night of the Waseca Lions Club was observed Thursday evening on the 35th anniversary of the signing of the Club charter, November 15, 1927. Seven of the 27 signers of the constitution are still members of the club. Five of them are pictured, Dr. O.J. Swenson and D.M. Coughlin being unable to attend the meeting. Left to right are District Governor Richard G. Hardy, Cambridge; R.E. Hodgson, Donald C. Brown, E.F. Johnson, Dr. L.O. Lovold, Dr. J.L. Kubicek and E.P. Nelson. All Wasecans are charter members except Dr. Kubicek who received his 25-year chevron last evening. Rev. C.M. Brandon was the first president of the club."
Waseca organization: Waseca Lions Club. Elmer Philip Nelson lived at 822 3rd Ave SE Waseca, MN and owned land south of 3rd Ave SE (Goodspeed Addition). The land south of 3rd Ave SE was home to Nelmoor Stables for about thirty years. Elmer Philip Nelson owned the State Theater in Waseca, MN.
