Cyclone Seed Sower. Material: metal, wood, textile. Size: 15" x 17" x 4 1/2". Description: red painted wooden base holds steel gear and fan; heavy wire crank with red painted handle turns gear; canvas seed bag stapled to wooden base; bag imprinted; "Cyclone Trademark Seed Sower, Made at Urbana, Indiana, U.S.A."; heavy shoulder strap sewn to bag.

This type of seed sower was used by filling the bag with seed and slinging it over your shoulder. While turning the crank you could walk and seed a field. Used on Schmidt farm in Otisco Township.
