Sears Miniature Bedroom Set. Material: wood, metal, glass, textile. (a) Bed. Size: 4" x 6" x 4 1/4" H. Description: red stained four-poster wooden platform topped with white cotton mattress and pillow lined with styrofoam. (b) Rocking Chair.Size: 1 1/4" x 2 1/4" x 3 1/2" H. Description: red stained wood, seat with spindled back, four turned and runged legs set on two rockers. (c) Sewing Machine. Size: 1 1/2" W. x 3" L. x 3 1/4" H. Description: red stained wooden tabletop and sides, black metal sewing machine mounted in table center, faux drawer units faced with gold metal, black enameled metal frame and treadle. (d) Chest of Drawers. Size: 1 1/2" x 3 1/4" x 4 1/2" H. Description: red stained wooden box, two doors swing open at top, two drawers open in lower cabinet, gold knobs on doors and drawers. (e) Mirror and Stand. Size: 1" x 2" x 5" H. Description: glass mirror set in red stained vertical frame, mounted on red stained wooden posts and pedestal. (f) Box. Size: 6 1/2" x 5 1/2" H. Description: white faced corrugated cardboard opens at top to hold bedroom furniture, black graphics of contents and black print: Sears Master Bedroom Set.
Furniture goes with the dollhouse built by Howard Deichen for his sister Ruth before many homes in Waseca County had electricity. Redone by Leslie Gasner in June 1990.
