Will Willie Makeit II died of a heart attack 15 miles outside of Port Augusta, South Australia. Disc jockeys from radio station 5 AU used a mobil radio station to tow the USA Turk Machine while Dave walked alongside. Dave called Jenni Samuel an Australian School teacher he met in Perth, Australia. Jenni had expressed interest in the walk so Dave asked her if she would tow the wagon with her car the rest of the way across her country. She agreed. They named her car Will She Makeit and hitched the Turkish wagon to it. Jenni drove 3 to 4 miles an hour while Dave walked alongside. Arriving in Sydney, Dave touched the Pacific Ocean.
