April 13, 1971 Dave, John and Willie Makeit II walked through the Arch of Triumph in Montpellier, France. The hospitable mayors of Portugal and Spain were missed. The American Consul General in Marseille, France helped. He had the consulate contact officials and the media including the International Herald Tribune. They got their picture in the Herald Tribune in April 27, 1971.
