Black Tuxedo. (a) Jacket. Material: textile, plastic. Size: 17" W. x 29" H. Description: black wool gabardine with black satin rolled lapels - black plastic one-button front closure - pockets. (b) Shirt. Material: textile, plastic. Size: 17" W. x 27" H. Description: white cotton shirt - panels on each side - white plastic button at top and bottom. (c ) Pants. Material: textile, plastic. Size: 14" W. x 38" H. Description: black wool gabardine pants - black satin vertical stripe on each pant side - front fly closure with metal hook and zipper - black plastic suspender buttons inside waistband.

Dr. Wesley Howard Rethwill purchased this tuxedo and accessories from Matt J. Graif in Mankato, Minnesota in the 1950s. Dr. Wesley Howard Rethwill wore this tuxedo to formal events during his college years: 1953-1959; during his travels with his wife; and to events at the Grand Masonic Lodge of Minnesota 1967-1972.
