Rethwill Dental Cabinet. Material: wood, glass, metal, stone. Size: 31" W. x 62" H. x 12" D. Description: dark finished hardwood hutch - 12 wide shallow cabinet drawers set above a double row of 6 deeper drawers, each with clear, faceted glass knobs, containing a variety of dental tools - white marble removable counter above drawer cabinet - above counter: a smaller two door cabinet with frosted and textured glass front panels and containing two marble shelves - narrow beveled mirror panel separates lower cabinet and upper cabinet.
1924 to 1975, Dr. Wesley Harvey Rethwill, Sr. originally from LeSueur, MN, established dental practice in Waseca in 1924 with Dr. Prail on the second floor of the old First National Bank building, 100 1/2 N. State St. In 1965 he moved his practice to new building with his son, Dr. Wesley Howard Rethwill, Jr., at 409 N. State. The building was razed c. 2005 to allow expansion of Waseca Medical Center.
