John Moonan Fitzgerald, born in Rochester Minnesota in 1923, was the grandson of John Moonan of Waseca, Minnesota, a prominent lawyer, mayor, county attorney and state senator. The subject of this book, John Fitzgerald served in World War II and went on to become a city attorney in New Prague, Minnesota; he also was elected to three terms in the Minnesota Legislature and served as a judge in the First Judicial District for 30 years.
