William Brisbane was born in Glasgow, Scotland, December 11, 1811; he died at Wilton on July 23, 1890; he married Janet Scott in Scotland in 1832. They moved to New York in 1839; Wisconsin in 1849 and to Wilton, Minnesota in 1859. He twice represented Waseca County in the State legislature in 1867 and in 1871.
