Spindled Child's High Chair. Material: wood, metal, cane. Size: 13" W. x 42" H. Description: oak frame with a caned insert in the seat; high ornately carved back above seven turned spindles, four turned wooden spindles support turned armrests; four extended legs with metal wheels (right front wheel broken); two horizontal support rungs between front legs, one support rung between back legs; foot rest attached below seat front.
Caned seat is original. Owned by August Roesler, a grandfather to the donors. Handed down to donor's father (the oldest boy). Highchair used by Lillian Roesler, sister to donors (born in 1890).
