Smith Manual Typewriter. (b) Cover. Material: wood, metal. Size: 15" W. x 16" L. x 11 1/4" H. Description: black painted metal, turned wooden handle at top; gold decal across top: "Smith Premier". (c) Base. Material: wood, metal. Size: 13 1/4" W. x 15 1/2" L. x 3/4" H. Description: wooden rectangle, two metal rods extend lengthwise under base, a hook at each end secures typewriter to base.

Used by Frank Mosher, father of donor, when he worked for the Chicago & Northwestern Depot in Waseca, Minn.
