Wooden Roll Top Desk of Early Courthouse. Material: wood. Size: 56" W. x 51 1/2" H. x 27 1/2" deep. Description: dark, finished wooden roll-top desk with two black wooden knobs attached to roll top; inside desk behind roll top contains 12 small cubicles, four drawers and a black desk surface; magnifying glass attached to side of desk; four drawers on left side, one drawer and one cabinet on right side and a closed back.
This desk was moved in a hayrack from Wilton by Mr. Buckman when the courthouse was moved to Waseca. The desk was used for many years in the Waseca County Court House. Later the desk was owned by P.C. Bailey Hardware and then it belonged to Charlie Hawkes. The desk was originally supposed to have belonged to Hiram Mosher, Register of Deeds at Wilton.
