Description: black enameled and plain steel machine attached to a brown stained and varnished wooden, rectangular base - metal nameplate on base front: "Keep Machine Clean, Oil Machine Often, Stop Handle Here" - silver metal wheel on machine front - black enameled circular disk in center wheel with gold print: "The Monarch Marking System Company Dayton, Ohio U.S.A. Junior Monarch Patented June 14, 1904, June 4, 1912, June 12, 1912, May 2, 1915, Aug. 15, 1916, July 9. 1918, Jan. 6, 1920 Other Patents Applied For All supplies for use on this machine are covered by patents" - short wooden turning handle extends from side - black metal drawer on left side - drawer pulls out and contains silver metal sorts for machine - sorts are in one large compartment and 72 smaller compartments for: "1-5, LOT, IN, WTH, 6-0, YD, NO, PRC, Y-Z, &, -, 1/4, 1/3, 3/8, 2/3, Q-X, I-P, A-H, 1-5, 1/2, 6-0, $, C, SIZE."
