Description: light brown cowhide - rectangular case - front or top opening and hinged back - closure with three metal clasps along opening, two leather straps encircling girth, and a keyhole and latch - eight metal fastener re-enforce straps - metal and leather enforce all corners - interior: leather straps to stabilize contents - written on top panel of suitcase: " Wm. G. Grawunder Janesville Minnesota Ro. Fl P 4."

In 1915-1916, William Grawunder and Walter Tolzman went to North Dakota where Walter Tolzman bought land. This suitcase is the one William Grawunder took to Bowman, North Dakota.
